Roland GR-55 Guitar Synth + Modeling este un synthetizator de chitara cu posibilitati de editare si modelare a sunetului, avand o banca de sunete impresionanta (peste 900) organizata pe grupe: synth, piano, strings, brass, vintage-synths etc. Exista si posibilitatea de a combina cate doua sunete dupa preferinte (asa numitul layering) intre cele 270 de preseturi grupate in trei mari categorii: "lead", rhythm" si "others" si care apoi pot fi stocate in cele 297 de usere avute la dispozitie. Functia de modelare prin edititing a sunetelor iti permite sa-ti configurezi propriile seturi de sound-uri de chitara: clean, drive, distort, over-drive, etc care se suprapun peste combinatiile deja facute, cu efecte spectaculoase, intalnite numai la procesoarele de top.
